|The last of my film watching for 2010

So, below the cut are the last of the films I've seen in 2010. I lost the dates I saw them, but they pretty much date from the start of September until the end of the year. It's a longish list, 23 movies, but not as long as one would expect over three months. Moving house and all the hassles involved, plus kids, have put a serious dent in my film watching.
Scott Pilgrim VS the World
Very, very good, but still over-rated. I'm finding this happens more and more often. Perhaps it's just that with so much crap coming out of Hollywood, people can't help but think a really good movie is a work of utter genius.
Quantum of Solace
Die Hard 2
Die Hard 3
Finally saw it! And it's every bit as great a film as I've been led to believe.
Die Hard 4.0
The Wolfman (2010)
Not all remakes suck big sweaty donkey balls. This one does, however.
Screamers - The Hunting
The first hour was weird, inventive, and strange, the next two were still good but totally predictable, and so disappointing in light of the beginning.
The Lost Thing
I rather liked it. Prefer the book, but the animation is very good.
The Taking of Pelham 123 (1974)
Great film, with the perfect final shot.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1
Very good, only hurt by the ending. But it only had three possible endings, and none would have lived up to what went before, the one chosen is sensible and works in context.
Not bad, but I was disappointed by the sameiness of the universe. On one hand that's kind of the point, on the other, I find the original to be more visually interesting.
I don't have words for how much I still love this movie. Showed it to Lex on Christmas Day.
The Last Starfighter
Little known fact - the CGI in Last Starfighter was in fact much better to start with. When the studio heads saw test footage, they felt it didn't look computer generated enough (considered a selling point for the film) and so textures were removed get the required look. The film itself is dumb but enjoyable.
Cats and Dogs
Still amusing, mostly because of Sean Hayes performance.
Alien Directors cut
Finally got around to watching the 2003 re-edit. I thought it was very good, and even with the additional scenes and shots, it's a minute shorter than the original. Great finish to the year.
In total I got through 125 films for the year.
