May I Tweet at you? [Jul. 11th, 2010|06:01 am]

20:18 Watching Cleopatra - 12 minutes in I can easily see how it's the most expensive film ever made #wow #

21:29 The filmakers decided that every 15 minutes they had to spend the gross national product of Europe onscreen. #cleopatra #

21:32 I have been literally been sitting here open mouthed through #Cleopatra's arrival in Rome. Every cent is there on screen #

22:05 Intermission - continue tomorrow night. All I can say is, wow! Story is good but the production is astounding #Cleopatra #

23:33 Politicians won't make hard decisions for long-term good of their country, only popular decisions for short-term power. #

[GregT] The history of Australian politics is littered with politicians deliberately and passionately making unpopular decisions for what they believed was the long-term good of the country. Chifley's attempt to nationalise the banks was an unsuccessful one; Howard's GST a more recent but successful one.
