The Middleman DVDs have just been released in the US. I know many of you out there are fans of the show, so I thought I'd let you know.

Given that the creator of Middleman is hopeful that with good enough DVD sales the series may come back in some form, if your DVD player can handle NTSC discs, you may wish to buy them ASAP. We just ordered ours through Amazon.com. Wanted to buy from Shout, the company doing the DVD release, but unfortunately they don't sell direct to Australia.

For those that don't know it, The Middleman is one of the shows I will be talking about on The Best TV Shows That Never Were panel at Continuum 5.

Why do all the good series get cancelled and we have crap reality tv instead?

I love The Middleman... it has a quote for everything... Or perhaps I just identify with Lacey far too much...

"This independent woman of today is paying off her crushing student loan debt with tips from middle-age gropers and frat boys. It's like turning bad money into good."

The Middleman is one of my all-time favourite series. It makes me want to hug the TV.

hi Danny. Apropos of nothing, I think your son bears a striking resemblence to to Maggie's arch nemesis (aka Evil Baby) in the Simpsons. Now we know what Lex has been doing on the side. :)

I've been a Les McClaine fan for many many years (he's the only artist I've ever bought fan art from) but I've never read any Middleman comics or even seen any of the TV show. I'll have to track it down some day.

I'm just hoping there is an Australian release box set in our future. A lot of other series that haven't seen much if any TV over here are available so far. Dresden Files (never saw it advertised?), Eureka (three seasons, mebbe one screened on digital only?) and Chuck (again, two seasons, no aussie screening?) just to name a few that come to mind. So much good stuff, so many crap purchasing managers employed by networks in Australia.

One of the best non-series ever. Its like Due South meets X-Files with a side of Buffy and Eureka.
