All the best to both of you.
you do realise, that once Lex is born, that there will be pressure from all sides to start training in competitive parenting? Especially with the Olympics on at present - the stakes have never been higher for being able to out anecdote the opposition. You too could boast for your country!
I'm not sure I'll be up to the task, but the kid's going to learn his comic timing right from the get-go.
And pratfalls, though that may take me laying tripwires all over the house.
Trust me. They fall over all by them selves. No need for tripwires...
Oooooh so close, so very close ...
Uncle Monkey! How awesome would that be?
Danny, I don't think it ever seems real. I remember finishing work and going on maternity leave and sitting at home waiting until that day Jess finally came along.
Sorry this may or may not bring up bad memories of that day, but even after the birth it was truly bizare, amazing and utterly wonderful.
I wish you all the best to you and especially Sharon, we will be thinking of you and cannot wait until it happens.
No bad memories :)
Thanks guys, you've actually been much in our minds of late.
Still, a little Dannny/Sharon! How cool is that! Best of luck to you both!
I was going to say something witty but I'll settle for wishing you, Sharon, and Lex all the best.
Oh, and please keep us posted!
Absolutely love the new icon its way cool.
I found it hard to believe I was going to have a baby when I was pregnant, and I sometimes still can't believe I actually have a child :)
Box of stuff for Lex being posted today hopefully...
We were thinking of you guys last week, cut off from the world in our secluded cottage, wondering if there was news yet...
And still no news... If he arrives after tomorrow, it means he's now late, and therefore takes after Sharon :D
Still not quite caught up on LJ, but went and had a look. You went to Eden! How cool! It's a lovely place, and yes, the story of Old Tom is interesting and odd. Sounds like you both had a wonderful time :D
One year down, a lifetime to go!
Clearly, it's like waiting for the kettle to boil. All you have to do is forget you're about to have a child, and things will commence! Easy!
Hope the wait doesn't send either of you too batty:)
I was already batty, or so I'm told :)
*quivers with anticipation*
