keep it. you could probably get it running on LPG, although you may have to get harder valve seals. Parts are OK to come by, although rubber seals for windows may be a rare spares call. There are times when i wish I still had IRA (my old yellow coupe)

I vote for keeping it, but helpful advice aside, I think this one is really a call only you can make. I know how much it means to you, but I think there's a danger of putting so much into keeping it (not just money) that the thought of the car becomes a burden rather than a blessing, and that's worse than giving it up by choice, IMO. Still, you do need something to *drive*, and if it's at all do-able, you should be driving the Belmont. Maybe cultivate some new petrol-head mates, and see how much of the needed work can be arranged on the cheap?
